Jamal Shaker Abdullah is a Jordanian Quran reciter born in 1978 in the city of Zarqa, Jordan. He serves as the imam and preacher at Umm Al-Mu’minin Mosque in Amman. He grew up in a family that valued knowledge and religion and began studying the Quran at the age of ten at Omar ibn Al-Khattab Mosque. He completed memorization of the Quran in the narration of Hafs from Asim by the age of thirteen under Sheikh Mahmoud Idris. At eighteen he became an imam and preacher at Al-Saffarini Mosque in Zarqa. He later studied Islamic Sharia at the University of Jordan before continuing his studies at the Islamic University of Madinah, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sharia with distinction.
