Idrees bin Mohammed Abkar is a Quran reciter born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1975. He serves as the imam of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the United Arab Emirates and has led prayers in several mosques in Saudi Arabia. He memorized the Quran at a young age and studied Quran recitation from early childhood, beginning at Al-Tawheed Mosque when he was eight years old. He later joined memorization circles at Al-Fatani Mosque at the age of thirteen and completed memorizing the Quran within four years.
