Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleela is a Saudi Quran reciter and imam. He was appointed as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars on October 18, 2020. Born in Makkah in 1395 AH, he completed all his studies there and graduated from Umm Al-Qura University. He obtained a Master’s degree in Fiqh from the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Umm Al-Qura University in 1422 AH and later earned a PhD in Fiqh from the Islamic University of Madinah in 1429 AH. He currently serves as an imam and preacher at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and as an assistant professor at Taif University. During Hajj 1442 AH, he delivered the sermon of the Day of Arafah at Namirah Mosque.
